 Kenya's
finance minister estimates the loss due to the on-going
post-election skirmishes at US$ 1 billion. Other sources
say this may be an under-estimation. The Tourism sector
alone has suffered a staggering US$93 million due
to huge flight cancellations. Inflationary pressure
arising from artificial shortages in supplies of basic
commodities contnues to hit hard.
Investors are wary of the country as a strategic investment
hub - the Nairobi Stock Exchange bears witness to
this. All these only go to enhance the grim picture
that is presently our country. The social loss is
even greater.
We all therefore, have an obligation to preach peace
in our own small ways. At Enchanted Landscapes®
